Parrots and their family

First of all I am going to start  blogging about animals since it is a subject that  holds my interest. I am going to try to post  about the more common animals. This post is on parrots. I hope yall enjoy it, and here goes.

Parrots are tropical birds and are found in most rainforests and jungles. There are many different kinds of parrots such as macaws, lories, cockatoos, and lorikeets. In all there are over 300 different species of parrot. They eat a wide variety of fruits, seeds, and nuts, using their strong beaks to break even the hardest nuts.

The parrot has amazing abilities, such as their feet with two toes pointing forward and two toes pointing back, which allows  them to scamper up trees quickly. The macaw has  an incredibly strong beak. Allowing it to crack even brazil nuts, which are known for their difficulty to crack.

They have very bright colors. Which would mean that they would be easy prey, right? Wrong, they have very painful defense methods. Such as pecking out their attackers eyeballs, and scratching them with their claws. They have very bright feathers in hues of red, green, blue, yellow, and sometimes even orange.

That's it, if you liked it please tell me, and make suggestions for future posts and remember god is always with you.

I had no idea that there were so many different types of parrots. Also, I learned about their defense methods. I will try to get that book you referenced from the library.
